Thank you to all our wonderful artists, who entered our art exhibition, this year. The paintings entered were of a high standard, resulting in a very eye-catching exhibition. We all worked extremely hard to make this year’s exhibition the best yet. There was a lot to do, following our change of name. But everything came together well, with new signs and banners to entice visitors through the doors. Over 300 people came through the doors over the weekend. The Raffle painting, donated by Annette McCrossin, was very popular and lots of tickets were sold.

Our Judges, Geoff Buckle (Sydney Landscape Artist) and Judi Wilson (Northern Beaches Council) had an extremely difficult task. We would like to take this opportunity to say ‘Thank You’ to our Judges, who both spent significant time studying and considering the merits of each work, before their final decisions were made.

The display from Lis Curman, our Featured Artist, was stunning and created a great deal of comment from our visitors, many of whom took advantage of the membership forms available. So we may be seeing a few new faces at upcoming events!

The appealing composition draws the viewer in. The lovely soft colours and light captures the early morning mood. The gentle curve of the road and the beautiful gums, framing the walker and inviting the viewer to see what is beyond.
