- Members must be financial members of the Society and over 18 years of age.
- Members need to complete and sign the Exhibition Entry Form and return it by NO LATER THAN Friday 4 October 2019. (An Entry Form will be attached to the Newsletter prior to an Exhibition or can be downloaded from the website).
- Please check that your form is filled out correctly – NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE AFTER THE FORM HAS BEEN RECEIVED.
- Entry Fee is non-refundable. $20 for each Large work and $10 for each Miniature* work. (* NB. Miniature image must not exceed 100 sq cm).
- You may enter up to 6 paintings. NB. The Total Perimeter measurement, when all works are added together, must be NO MORE than 8 metres. (To determine the total measurement, measure around the outside of each work, as it will be delivered – ie. Framed or presented in a professional manner – then add these numbers together).
- All works must be a minimum price of $200, irrespective of size. Each part of a Diptych or Triptych will be counted as one piece of artwork.
- Overweight or wet paintings will not be accepted.

- Payment can be made by direct deposit into the society’s bank account, by sending a cheque with your completed and signed Entry Form to the address in the newsletter.
- Paintings should be presented in a professional manner with quality frames, clean matt boards and glass where appropriate and ready for hanging. D hooks on back with framer’s cord accepted (no wire or ring hooks will be accepted). Wet paintings will not be accepted. Artist must put a minimum price of $200 per painting, irrespective of size.
- All paintings must be your own original works and must be for sale (no prints). Under Copy Right Laws you cannot submit a painting for sale that has been copied in any way from another artist OR a painting that has been done during a workshop/demonstration, the tutor owns the image or subject of the painting.
- Delivery – All paintings are to be delivered between 8am to 9am on Friday 11 October, 2019. Please deliver your paintings to the Lakeview Room (nearest the lagoon) at The Tramshed, Narrabeen.
- Collection – All unsold paintings are to be collected from the Lakeview Room, at The Tramshed, Narrabeen between 4pm and 5pm on Sunday 13 October, 2019.
- Labels – All paintings should have a label on the back of the painting with Title, Artist, Medium & Price, exactly as on the Entry Form.
- Roster Duty is mandatory for the safety of all artists’ paintings. Roster times for both days are generally 9 -11:30 am, 11:30am – 2 pm, 2 – 4 pm. Please contact Hilary Macorison on 0414 416 447 to organise your preferred roster time. A nametag will be provided for you to wear when on duty. While on roster a keen eye and a friendly attitude to the public goes a long way to a sale.
- Hanging of Paintings – Artworks will be selected and hung as space allows by a designated Selection Committee.
- A Commission of 25% is charged by the Society on all artworks sold.
- Judging – Judges are invited to judge the paintings once they are hung in place. The Northern Beaches Art Society requests that only one prize per winning artist be awarded. The selection of winners is purely the choice of the judges, with no influence or coercion from the Northern Beaches Art Society or its members. The Northern Beaches Art Society takes no responsibility for the choice of winners and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Northern Beaches Art Society and its participating artists will take utmost care in handling paintings. Northern Beaches Art Society shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage to paintings entered into an exhibition. Participating artists agree to waive any claim to the Society in the case of loss or damage.
