Noeline started painting in 1962. She has spent the last 52 years learning, practising and experimenting with all types of media in her search for creative expression. She uses oils, watercolours, acrylics and all types of drawing materials to make works of art that depict her love of light on her subject, be it landscape, seascape or figure studies. More recently her portfolio contains paintings of Italy – the results of travels in that beautiful country.
Her paintings have been purchased for many Municipal Councils and are found in public and private collections both in Australia and overseas. Features have been published in Australian Artist, Artist Palette and Dive Magazines.
Noeline’s use of acrylic paints has evolved over many years, by learning the advantages of the texture of oil paints and the magic flow of watercolours to combine a little of both techniques. In this workshop you will be painting a country scene, which will emphasise perspective, both linear and aerial (using line and tone). Her technique will be to demonstrate each stage of the painting, using acrylic paints on watercolour paper. You will start off with a loose drawing on the watercolour paper. Then you will apply acrylic washes, followed by a gradual build up of colour, tone and texture. Noeline will also supply cards for a miniature painting, if there is time.
