This workshop is best in watercolours, especially if you want to enjoy the demonstration and
follow Pamela’s techniques. However, if you want to work in acrylics, that would be ok, too.
Pamela will supply live flowers and props, but if you wish to bring some native flowers or
leaves, such as gum leaves, gum nuts, banksias or kangaroo paws, from your own garden, to
add to the arrangement, they would be most welcome. Pamela prefers to paint from life,
rather than using photographs.

Pamela is a Sydney watercolour and mixed media artist who has been working in the Visual
Arts and Art Education arena for over 40 years. She is founder of the Woodford Bay Art
Group, Sydney. She lives, paints and teaches in Longueville, NSW. Pamela has been involved
in numerous group and solo exhibitions and her paintings and won many awards and prizes.

Materials List: (Recommended only – bring what you have & others will share if you are missing a colour or two)

• 2 sheets Watercolour Paper – Pre-Stretched 300gsm or Unstretched 640gsm
• Arches, Saunders, Fabiano or Waterford
• Artist quality watercolour paints – Windsor & Newton, Art Spectrum, Schminky or Daniel Smith
• Variety of colours
• Watercolour pencils or watercolour crayons
• Small bottle of drawing ink – any colour
• Spray bottle container and several Spray ‘n’ Wipe type of nozzle
• Several small jars or containers
• 1 small tin of talc powder (talcum powder)
• 1 bottle of masking fluid
• 1 fan bristle brush
• 1 large watercolour mop brush
• 1 long rigger brush
• Various sponges
• Stanley knife
• Masking tape

NOTE: If you don’t have all the items on the materials list – DON’T PANIC! – Others will be able to share with you.
